Linoleum is another type of flooring that has been around for hundreds of years that resists moisture. Vinyl took it out of the market somewhat in the 50s, but it is a natural material so it is making a big comeback. It is made of linseed oil, rosin, limestone, cork dust and wood floor.

Rubber and Laminate-Two Other Popular Flooring Choices

Rubber floors are a kind of flooring that were once only seen in a gym or recreational building, but nowadays many homes are installing it for a number of reasons. It not only resists moisture, it is long lasting, slip resistant and cleans easily.

Laminate flooring isn’t waterproof in itself, but it can contain materials that are moisture protective such as resin coating or fiberboard filling in some cases.

There are many kinds of waterproof flooring to choose from in today’s market. It all depends on your budget and preference.
