Scuba diving requires certification to dive without the supervision of an instructor. The Open Water Diver Course is the basic course to begin an exciting life of diving, allowing you the freedom of diving without an instructor. If you aren’t sure you want to become certified and wish to explore the idea more, Key Largo Dive Center offers a Discover Scuba package. With a quick lesson on how to use the equipment, an instructor will guide guests in their underwater adventure with Scuba.
Because life is a never-ending learning process, experienced divers may want a deeper understanding of the skills, concepts, and equipment that can enhance the diving experience. Certified divers can enroll in the Advanced Open Water Diver Course which consists of classroom training and five dives that can be broken up into sessions if the guest chooses. The Enriched Air Diver Course, commonly referred to as the “Nitrox” course, certifies you to dive with oxygen enriched air which provides a reduced surface interval, in addition to many other benefits. Already advanced divers may want to check out the Wreck Diver or Deep Diver Advanced Specialty Course. The Digital Underwater Photographer Specialty Course is a fun way to capture your adventures and share with your friends, family, and the world. Key Largo Dive Center accepts referrals for open water diver training from other diving schools to complete dives. If you’re certified in Scuba already but it’s been some time since your last dive, Refresher Training in a pool or open water will give you the confidence you need to get back to diving and will relight the fire to dive inside you. The Center sells all the equipment and supplies you will need to either start or enhance your diving experience. Key Largo Dive Center dives depart twice a day and only bring 6 divers per boat ride for your comfort.
