Many people have important documents, jewelry and other items they would like to keep safe from theft and fire. You need to decide what kind of damaging elements you want your Safes Brandon to protect your precious items from. Depending on where you live, you must decide what type is going to give you the peace of mind in a flood, fire, burglary, or an earthquake or a tornado. Always keep in mind the total weight of the safe and its contents before placing it in the area you plan to keep the safe, making sure that this area can withstand the total weight.

Everyone should look for fire resistant safes rated to protect your valuables for the longest time within your price range. The fire protection time can range from 30 minutes to 4 hours and by looking at the rating numbers, this will tell you how hot the exterior can withstand during a fire. By looking at the class number, example CL-125, this will tell you that the interior is guaranteed not to exceed 125 degrees in a specified time. Check to see what the maximum temperature your stored items inside can withstand without damage before purchasing your safe.

For theft or tampering protection, check the classification for how long it can withstand hammering and other types of abuse used in trying to gain access into the safe. The TL-30 class is rated for 30 minutes of mechanical abuse and the TRTL and TXTL models can withstand a certain amount of welding, torching and explosives. But if these ratings are not available on the outside of the box, investigate the construction material and the security features and mechanisms that can also slow down an invasion. Sometimes the rating can be found in the manual inside the box or you can go to the manufacturer’s web site to find the ratings on the model you would like to purchase. If the ratings are not available, investigate the thickness of the safe walls and the thickness, length and number of locking bolts in the door and for attaching to your walls or floors for larger safes.

Today there are bio-metric Safes Brandon systems that use fingerprints. This works well with gun safes of all sizes to protect everyone from accidents. Look for one with the type of security mechanism you require; the more required components to open your safe the better.
