The Chevy Equinox for 2015 is a worthy option for a small crossover sports utility vehicle, especially if you are interested in one that has a great highway ride and available V-6 engine, however, some newer rivals might be a better option.

Pros

Adjustable and spacious backseat, comfortable highway ride; quiet interior; strong optional V-6 engine; premium look outside and in.

Cons

Steering is not very precise, less cargo space that competitors; low V-6 mpg ratings; 4-cylinder edition feels sluggish on highway and real world mpg will fall short of EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) ratings.

What is New for 2015?

The Chevrolet Equinox for 2015 carries over mostly unchanged. There is the L, a new trim level, and OnStar currently has a 4G LTE connection that has an in-car WiFi hotspot. Come in and check out our inventory at our Used Car Dealership in Vineland NJ!

In 2010, the Chevy Equinox got its last redesign back, which is a fairly long time in auto terms. The 2015 Chevy Equinox still stands apart for its comfort associated ride and its optional V-6 engine. However, is that enough to keep the model out in front of its more recent competition?

If you are shopping around for a crossover that is fantastic on highway journeys and road trips, the Chevy Equinox is better than the majority at handling America’s underfunded road infrastructure, plus it is amongst the quieter one tested at highway speeds. The already-mentioned V-6 engine is a peach, as well, with an abundance of power on tap for uphill slogs and passing maneuvers. Some rivals provide turbocharged 4-cylinders which similarly are powered; however, there is something to be said for those tried and true naturally-aspirated V-6s. The Equinox, properly equipped, may tow up to 3,500 lbs., which also is impressive. Plus, while the model is not a segment leader for overall spaciousness, it does have a decent bit of room in the back for passengers in the rear.

Although, apart from those traits, the Equinox generally is outmatched by many leaders in this class. In the 2015 Equinox, the standard 4-cylinder engine is underwhelming. As its rated power on paper is very competitive, with it, this model just does not have much verve when you are attempting to accelerate around additional vehicles in the passing lane or trying to get up to speed for highway on-ramps.
